From
an old wine shop to an elegant and sober restaurant, Celestino, has claimed
a long tradition in the Tuscan cuisine since 1872.
Situated in one of the most evocative corners of Florence, in the little
square of Santa Felicità, inside the “Torre degli Ubriachi”,
(tower of the Drunk people), 30 meters far from the Old Bridge walking
towards Pitti Palace. The Restaurant faces the church of Santa Felicità,
where are preserved some of the Masterpieces by PONTORMO, among which the
famous Deposition.
The Current management has been keeping the tradition of the local typical
cuisine for many years. Tasting the famous Ribollita, and a wonderful Steak
of Chianina meet, served with a Chianti Classico, chosen from the excellent
cellar, is almost a must. The big and prestigious selection of Wines claims
the best names in the Italian wine business.
The relaxing candle light atmosphere, and the little garden in the historic
square offer a very pleasant surrounding.
The owners Bruno e Marcello, together with their Staff, will be very happy
to welcome you every day and make you discover the taste of simple genuine
food and the pleasure of the table.
Celestino is appointed by various and qualified Guides and Magazines, and
is part of the “Cravattino d’Oro” associated with A.M.I.R.A.
